One of our favorite parts of the Birth Place is that they allow you to go home after 24 hours if mom and the baby are doing well. Both Aaron and I were doing great so the doctors said it was fine for us to leave. We had to wait until Aaron was 24 hours old for them to do a few tests, and then we were free to head home.

Aaron in his going-home outfit. It is the same one that Cameron wore to go home from the hospital. We also brought the outfit Leah wore home, since we didn't know if the baby was a boy or a girl.
Cameron also wore this hat home.
Aaron in his car seat, ready to go home (see a picture of Cameron in the same car seat and outfit here). He looks so tiny!

Aaron wasn't at all interested in his very first car ride - he slept the whole way home. When we got home, we found this sign on the door. Cameron drew it for us that morning before he went to school. So cute - what a wonderful welcome home!

Welcome home Aaron!
We picked up the kids, who were beyond excited to get home to see Baby Aaron. Until they got home and found all of the new baby stuff out...then playing with the baby toys was way more exciting!
Once the baby toys were all checked out, then it was time to cuddle Aaron and give him kisses.
A very proud big brother cuddling with his little brother!
They wanted Aaron to try out his playmat. Aaron was not nearly as interested in it as Cameron and Leah were.

Leah's turn to hold Aaron
We had a very good first day at home. The kids were so sweet, wanting to hold and kiss Aaron the whole night. Aaron spent time with each of the kids at bedtime and then it was time for bed for the rest of us. Aaron didn't really agree and woke up to eat every hour or so (at least, that is what it felt like!). We are definitely going to have to get used to the lack of sleep that goes along with having a newborn!
