Weekend with the ladies

Since this past weekend was Men's Weekend, but Cam isn't old enough to attend yet, he spent the whole weekend with the ladies. It started on Friday night, with a night over at Bonnie's house. Erin and Reagan are in town for a few weeks, so Elizabeth came up too. We all got together over at Bon's, along with Erin's mom and my mom, and had a nice ladies night. Well, the ladies plus Vinnie, Braden and Cameron. I didn't get very many pictures throughout the night because I didn't have my camera out, but at the end of the night, Cam and Braden were playing in Braden's ballpit and were having so much fun I had to pull out my camera and snap a few.

After jumping in the ball pit (none of those pictures came out), Cam and Braden relax for a bit.
Cam, chillin out in the ballpit
After a break, it is time to wrestle!
And then hugs good bye. Unfortunately, only Braden was giving good hugs. Cameron was too intrested in the trains and all of Braden's other cool toys to want to give hugs.
On Saturday we headed up to Rochester. Cam was a good boy and slept the whole ride. When we got there, Omi wanted to take Cameron on a stoller ride. The stroller was actually Nana's stroller from when she was a little girl!! Cam quite enjoyed his ride - we took a few more walks and he liked being in the stroller. We called it his car.

Omi pushed Cam around the block
Check out this ride!!
What a cute picture!!!
I know this picture is almost the same as the last one, but they were both so cute I couldn't pick just one.
On Saturday night we went out to dinner with Great-Grandma (GG). We decided to splurge and get dessert, and Cam was sure glad we did. After we were done sharing it, Cam got to finish up the rest and clean up the dish. He did a good job!

Two spoons are a vital part of clean-up work.
He missed a little bit.
Woohoo, chocolate coursing through my veins!!
I could eat this all night!
After dinner we went back to GG's and Cam had a great time playing with all of the toys. The funniest part was that Cam was playing with this gorilla that sang a song. Cam danced and danced and danced - I was wishing that I had the video camera because it was hilarious. These pictures are a bit blurry and don't look great, but you can get the idea that Cam was having a blast. He was laughing and laughing and running around dancing with the gorilla.

Right into GG
Off with the clothes and on with the awesome dance moves
Drop it like it's hot
Cam and GG had so much fun together. Poor gorilla was a little bit worse for wear, but he'll survive.

Uncle Paul comes home

This weekend is Men's Weekend, when all of the menfolk in the Kinsella family head up to the cottage for a weekend of manly activities. Paul came out from California for the first time in years, and we got to see him before they left for the cottage on Thursday.

When we first walked into the house, Cameron was a bit confused about why there were two of "Unck" (Cam's name for Uncle Matt). We explained that was Uncle Paul, who Cam quickly dubbed "Unck-Pa" and was quite happy to have two Uncks to play with. Cameron spent most of the night laughing like a maniac at his two very goofy uncles!

Superkick! Cam actually did kick the ball, unfortunately I was too slow to catch it with the camera.

Cam thought this game was hilarious!
Sweet, smily boy
My two Uncks are so funny!!
Cameron, very excited that Uncle Paul is about to ride on the rocking horse
I don't know which is better - Uncle Paul's unbridled rendition of a crazy cowboy, or Cam's extreme amusement watching it
My turn!

Party in Buffalo

Two of our friends, Marissa and Dan, are moving to Germany for three years for work. Besides being insanely jealous of them, we are also going to miss them so much!! Marissa's mom had a goodbye party for them, so last Monday we went to Buffalo for the party. It was a wonderful time and we were so glad to be able to see them one more time before they go. Our friends Bonnie and Vinnie, and Cam's bud Braden were there too.

Braden loved pushing Cameron around in this cooler. Luckily, Cam loved riding around in it. They did this for a long time, it was so cute!
Then it was Cam's turn to push Braden, but he needed a little help from Mama to get going.

Another Day, Another Playground

Since Cameron loves to be outside and loves to climb around, we have been making the rounds to various playgrounds in Liverpool. This playground was in Longbranch Park, and we had it all to ourselves. It was Cameron-size, which he loved. He didn't need help for anything and was so proud of himself!!

Big Smile
Whoa!!
Next, we went to a very tall slide. Cam and Daddy are ready to slide!
Fun ride :)

This pictures is not from the playground, it is at Nana and Poppa's house. Right outside the side door, there is a bird nest. Over the past months, we watched the robins build it, then we watched the little blue eggs and waited for them to hatch. Finally, they hatched and there are four very sweet little baby robins. They are so cute, they squeak and chirp and stretch their necks so long to try and get food. Cam was looking at them the other day and they all started chirping and stretching up with open mouths. We told Cam that the birdies thought he was their mama - he laughed and said "Mama" and pointed to himself.

Outside fun and Reading fun

On another warm evening, we stopped at a nearby school playground to let Cam play. We didn't take any pictures at the playground, but Cameron had a blast. He wants to do everything, including things that his arms and legs aren't really long enough for him to do. He wanted to climb ladders and rock walls, which required quite a bit of spotting from either Tim or I. His favorite part of the playground was the tallest twisty slide. He went on it again and again and again. When we were leaving, he turned around and called out "Bye bye, slide".

Back at the car we had the camera so we took a few pictures of Cameron running around. He had such a cute outfit on, we wanted to make sure to capture it.

Before we left, Cam ran around for a bit with no shirt on
Mama, come get me!
Running away! Don't you love the Hawaiian shirt?

And a few more, non-outside pictures. These were taken on Saturday morning, when Cameron was up in his room reading in his rocking chair. He was being so sweet, "reading" to himself and demanding more books whenever he would finish one.
Cam has recently learned to say "cheese" so we get a lot of pictures like this one.

Nakkie Cameron

A few nights ago, it was VERY warm out. Around 6:30pm, it was still in the high 80s and was very muggy. We were playing outside, because that is Cam's favorite thing to do from the time he gets home from daycare until it is time for bed. It was warm, so we took off Cam's shirt and pants and let him run around in his diaper. Then Tim remembered that Cam had a bad diaper rash, so off came the diaper. He was outside, worst that could happen is that he would sprinkle the lawn! Because he was running around, he wanted to keep his sandals on... so our baby wasn't completely naked. Here are a few of the less revealing pictures.

Naked babies get to play with Mama's cup of water... worse comes to worse, he dumps it on his naked tummy (which happened later on).

Cam on the playground

On Sunday afternoon we decided to brave the cool and windy weather and head outside. It was really sunny so it didn't seem to chilly out. We went to a nearby elementary school and played on the playground. Cameron loved it, but of course he wanted to do everything by himself. His arms and legs weren't long enough to do some of the things, so he allowed Mama or Daddy to help with those. We stayed for about an hour and Cameron probably would have stayed for another three hours if he let him. He just had so much fun running around and playing.

Hmm, my legs might not be long enough for this to work...
