Gina called me up one day and asked if the kids would like a Jeep Powerwheel vehicle, for free. We had always wanted to get one for the kids but since they cost a few hundred dollars, we were never planning to. Matt and Gina's neighbor had one but her kids were too old for it, so she was looking to get rid of it. She asked Gina if she knew any kids who were 3 - 5 years old, and Gina told her that yes, her niece and nephew happen to be 3 and 5. So an awesome Jeep powerwheel was delivered to our house. We hid it from the kids until it was charged up and we could make sure that it worked. Luckily it did, and boy were they surprised and excited to get it!
They jumped in and after a quick driving lesson and hearing the rules of the Jeep, off they went!
Leah tried driving for a little while, but she was nervous about it (and not very good at it!) so she pulled over to let Cameron be the driver.
Off they go, practicing in the grass first.
Trying out a turn
Can you tell that they are having a blast??
After a few spins around the yard, they headed off down the road.
Earlier that day when he was riding the school bus, Cameron had seen some trash down at the cul-de-sac. He asked that they bring a bag with them so they could clean it up. Apparently the Earth Day talks at school made a big impression on him!
Cleaning up the trash
Leah helped out too
They picked up quite a bit of trash and were very proud of themselves (as they should be) for helping to clean up the Earth.
Oh, and they LOVE their new Jeep!!
