We were in the hospital all day Sunday (going home on Monday morning), so we had lots of visitors and spent lots of good time with Leah.
Leah and Mama cuddle early Sunday morning. Love the tongue!

Leah's first shampoo! Her hair was still a bit yucky from her birth and the nurse didn't want the blood, etc to scare Cameron when he came to visit.

Big brother Cameron came to visit around 11am on Sunday morning. He brought Mama some beautiful tulips that he picked out of Nana's garden, but unfortunately we don't have a picture of that. He was very interested as soon as he walked in, going right over to her bassinet and asking to see the baby. After initial inspection, we all climbed up on the bed so he could spend a little bit of closer time with her.
First kiss from big brother!

Cam gets to hold Leah. He did a great job and was so gentle.

Um, guys? I don't know about this...

She sure is a tiny cutie though

Close up of Cameron and Leah

He held her for a long time, he really liked it and was very interested to look at all her tiny parts

Leah got Cameron some presents, which he was very excited to open. First, a shirt. In case you can't read it in the picture, the top has the words"only child" crossed out, and the bottom says "big brother". Cam put it on right away.

His second present, and the one he was more interested in, was a book about hockey.

Thank you, Leah!

Cameron asked to hold her again, and looked her over again. Here he is holding "her tiny hand in his little hand" (he says that he is little but she is tiny)

Checking out Leah a bit more

Now it is time for Leah's first bath. We waited for Cam to get there so he could help. The nurse took off Leah's clothes and got her ready.

Cam initially really wanted to help, but then got nervous or something and wouldn't touch Leah. Nana showed him how she could help give Leah a bath, and the encouragement worked. Here he is washing Leah's tummy.

And her back

Getting more water to wash some more - once he got the hang of it, he didn't want to stop (despite the nurse already starting to dry Leah off!)

Clean baby!

I think I already posted this picture, but it is one of my favorites from this day at the hospital, so it is getting posted again!!

Cameron had another special job - he had to ring the bell that would tell the whole hospital that Leah was born! When Cam pressed the button, it played the first bit of "Rock A Bye Baby" in the halls of the hospital so that everyone would know that a baby was born. It was an important big brother job.

For being such a good helper and big brother, Cam got a sticker. He decided to be a goofball with it!

Uncle Matt and Gina came to visit on Sunday as well. Here is Uncle Matt checking out his niece.

And Gina got some eyeball time too. For most of the time when they were there, Leah was awake and being very cute!
