The trees are so tall and beautiful and the sunlight was shining through them gorgeously. What an amazing place!
Aaron rode in comfort and style in Mama's ergo pack. He slept for a good amount of the walking but was awake for a while and checked things out.

These are only a few of the tons of pictures that we took - it was just so beautiful. The pictures are great but don't recreate how amazing it was. Definitely a place to go back to!
We walked probably a mile or two on the trails, and both older kids walked the whole way. We did have to stop a few times for a break and a snack, but they did great.
The trail wound alongside a stream and there were a few bridges to cross over. We ended up going to the third or fourth bridge.

I love the shape of the tree leaning over the bridge.
This path led up to another part of the trail. It was 2 or 3 miles so we decided it would be too much for Leah. Cam really wanted to go that way because it led up into the trees. We let him walk up the trail a bit but told him we'd come back someday when Leah and Aaron were bigger and walk on the whole trail.

Another massive tree - lots of groups gathered around these photo op kind of places so we could usually get someone else to take our picture if we took theirs.
Leah liked checking out the bugs on the trail. She wanted to pick up this little guy but got too nervous at the last minute and just ended up looking at him.

Aaron is awake and out of the pack - time for a family picture! Too bad Cameron and Leah didn't want to look at the camera because they were too busy watching the kids who were with the man who took our picture.

Sometimes when you are in a national park, your two month old baby gets HUNGRY. You try to find a good place to stop and feed your baby but all of the benches are crowded with tourists. So instead you find a quiet place with a fence to lean against and feed the baby there. And your husband takes a picture of it. Several pictures, in fact... this is the most postable.
Luckily, your other kids can have fun anywhere and spend the next twenty minutes playing on this fence section while you feed the baby. We know how to have fun!

This is the best picture we got. No one wanted to look or smile or cooperate. But we'll take it!

You can't really tell in the picture, but this tree had a hole in the base of it. Cameron had to investigate, of course. Luckily there was nothing in the hole (although I think Cameron was kind of disappointed not to find something cool inside).

We LOVED Muir Woods, it was so beautiful and peaceful. We'd like to go back some day to hike on the longer hikes and enjoy more of the forest, what a wonderful place.
