One month old!

It is hard to believe that Leah was born a month ago - time has certainly flown by for us! Leah is such a sweet and good baby, we are very lucky. She doesn't really cry unless she is hungry and is often content to just sit in her bouncer/swing/our arms and look around at the world. She likes to lie on her play mat and look up at the animals that Cameron has carefully placed for her, and her favorite place to be is near a window so she can look out (or maybe just at the light). She is starting to look at us and track items in front of her face. It is really exciting, that she acknowledges us (or our shape, at least) and can follow us when we move.

At night, she is sleeping for 3-5 hour stretches. Most nights she goes to sleep around 10pm and sleeps until 2am (give or take an hour). She wakes up to eat and get her diaper changed, and then goes right back to sleep. We feel so lucky about that - Cameron always needed to be rocked or held for quite a while before he would go back to sleep. Leah just eats and falls right back asleep (actually, half the time she falls asleep before she is done eating!).

Leah and Mama have been going on more adventures during the days - to Wegmans, the library, out to lunch, etc. She is really good on most trips out. She falls asleep in the car and stays asleep throughout the trip. Occasionally she wakes up to show off her cute eyes but other than that, she just sleeps in the car seat. It makes for pretty easy trips, so far!

Leah is a very noisy baby. When she eats, she gulps and makes these little cooing noises. When she is done eating, she grunts and makes all kinds of noises as she is settling. And in true Kinsella fashion, the noises that come out of both of her ends are quite spectacular. Cameron is always amused by it: "Mama, Leah tooted!!!" Leah is also a very spit-uppy baby. Cameron was the same way, so I am not too surprised, but I was hoping that she might not spit up as much as he did. Oh well, I just wash tons of burp cloths every day!
