Leah Playing Soccer

Since Leah turned three, she is able to play sports at the YMCA.  The first one she wanted to play was soccer.  She is a very lucky girl - the Y asked Daddy to be the coach of her team, the Buffalos.  Leah has been loving the season and having a great time.  She doesn't always love the games (she gets bored when they take too long) but she loves the practice before the games, playing with her friends and of course, snack at the end.

Since Daddy is the coach, he has a helper at all of the practices - Cameron!  Cameron likes to show the kids how to do the drills and practices with them.

I can't remember what drill Leah was doing here, but I love the determination in her face.  And the gritted teeth.

We got to practice early and had some extra time before it started so we let the kids head over to the playground for a while.  Leah wanted to swing but all of the big swings were taken, so sh went in a baby swing... backwards.  It didn't phase her one bit.

Kisses for the cutest fan around.

What a good big brother!

Back to practice - time to warm up.  She does have shorts on under there, I promise.

Chasing down the ball

And all smiles coming back.

Time from some stretching

Jumping jacks action shot.  Watching the kids do jumping jacks is one of the best parts of the every practice - they are so darn cute!!

Doing a quick feet drill.  Or, when you are three, it is more like try-really-hard-to-keep-your-foot-on-the-ball drill.  Either way, it is one of Leah's favorites.

Running races as part of pre-game practice

I don't remember why she was sitting on the ball, but she's a cutie!

I love, love, love this picture.  She's such a tiny little bean, so intent on the grass in front of her.

Game time!

It's important to hold hands in the middle of a game.

And after that, it's time to join hands with the other team and do some skipping.  In the middle of the game, while you are supposed to be playing against them.

Leah's got the ball!

Dribbling the ball

1-2-3... Go Buffalos!!!

Leah loves playing, even though she doesn't play half the game.  She loves spending time with her teammates and loves that Daddy is her coach.
