Borst's Winter Visit

Every winter, the Borst family head out to Syracuse for a visit.  They like to come in January or February so we can play in the snow, maybe skate, and have some winter fun.  This year's visit was supposed to be in January but then had to be canceled at the last minute.  They ended up coming out St. Patrick's Day weekend instead.  Luckily (??), it was still winter in Syracuse so we had some snow!

After playing all morning long, we went for a walk outside - it wasn't too chilly out and the snow was not too deep.

The boys took hockey sticks and a soccer ball with them on the walk

It kept them busy the entire time.

They had a blast playing hockey-soccer in the woods obstacle course!

The easement also made for a fun place to play in.

Here comes Leah!  If you look close, her tongue is hanging out.  I don't know why!  :-P

Hello handsome!

Ella - she could be a model in a winter catalog with this shot and pose!

Here come Mama and Leah.  It was pretty tricky for Leah to walk, between the snow (which was deep for her short legs) and all of the forest obstacles.  She did great though.

It was a great day for a walk!

The trees made for great balance beams

Love that hat!

Me with my sweet girl

Look - Kim was there!

And so was Tim! (And yes, these two pictures are pretty much the only pictures that have Kim and Tim in them... the rough life of being the photographer!)

Really, could there be four more adorable children?  I don't think so!

Cousins!

Leah suckered Uncle Jeff into carrying her for a quite a while

She cinched the deal by snuggling in to his shoulder and hugging him while he carried her.

What a gorgeous girl

There's a steep hill?  Let's climb it!

After seeing Jack and Ella do it, Cam decides to try too.

More modeling poses

Tim climbed up with the kids to take pictures.  Here are the rest of us at the bottom of the hill.

Wheeeeee... running back down the hill!

And climbing over some of the trickier parts

More pictures of the adorable foursome

Finishing up the walk with a bit more hockey-soccer

After our walk, we ate some lunch and then went to Tim's hockey game.  We came home and spent the rest of the afternoon and night just hanging out.

Leah and Ella snuggling on the couch, playing an iPod game.

It was a very fun weekend, as it always is when we visit with the Borsts!
