Fourth of July weekend

We went to Swansea for the holiday weekend. On Friday, Tim and Tom finished up working on the sailboat and were able to put it into the water (between thunder storms!). On Saturday, we were able to go sailing on it! Very nice, although short, sail. Cameron really enjoyed it, but he kept making me nervous by wanting to sit on the opposite side from me, and leaning over the edge to look at the water.

Cam, ready to sail.
Here we are, coming in from the sail.
Tim is doing something to get ready to land on the mooring.
Securing the sail.
Back on land, Jack shows his best merman pose.
Mama, Daddy and Cam row back in to shore. We had a great sail!

After sailing, we got ready for the neighborhood parade. The theme for our group this year was Pirates. A very cute bunch of pirates, if I do say so myself!!

Cameron the pirate... come on, you know some pirates wore polo shirts, right?
The Borst pirate family - Ella, Kim and Jack
Jack, Ella and Emily walking in the parade
Jack's mean pirate face
Jack the blue-tongued pirate. Lucky for him, his tongue matches his eyes.
Pretty pirate princess Ella
Being a pirate is tough work.

great pictures. Cameron is very lucky to be able to learn to sail at such an early age.
