Cameron's First Hockey Practice

Cameron's ice hockey season started in early November.  He was excited to get back on the ice, we were excited that all of his equipment from last year still fit!

There are a ton of kids on Cameron's team, the Initiation Program.  Just like last year, they range in age from Cam's age to probably ten or eleven.

Cameron's 5th Birthday

I can't believe how fast the time has flown by, Cameron turned five this year!  I think I told him that about 50 times, that I couldn't believe my tiny baby boy was five years old today.  He thought it was funny - silly sentimental Mama.

Cameron's 5th birthday was on a Friday this year, so we had his birthday party the next day.  This year Cameron asked for a hockey cake for his birthday.  This is what I came up with - pretty easy and I think it looks great!

In the morning we had Cameron come down and keep his eyes closed then we showed him his cake.  He thought it was pretty awesome.

The party started at noon so we had lunch for everyone.

Birthday party attendees.  People who were there were Nana and Poppa, Uncle Matt and Aunt Gina, Omi and Opa, Amanda and Joey, Aunt Susi and Ed, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa, Uncle Chris and Joe, the Lange family and Bonnie and Braden.  A great turnout for Cam's party!

One of Cameron's presents from Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa was what looked like a Pringles chip container, but was actually filled with two snakes that jumped out.  He and all of the other kids at the party thought it was HILARIOUS.  That silly can of snakes got opened about 40 times that day.

Cam was pretty excited to get a sweet Nerf gun from Mama and Daddy.  His other big present from us, which I don't have a picture of him opening, was a full size goalie net.  He was also very excited about that and loves playing hockey in the basement with it.

It was a great party, Cameron had lots of fun and we always enjoy having everyone over at our house.  Happy Birthday to my favorite first baby bear!!

Halloween Night Trick or Treating

Once we were done at Cameron's party, we went back to our house to pick up our costumes, pumpkins and trick or treat baskets.  As we do every year, we headed over to Nana and Poppa's to go trick or treating.  Since we are the only one on our street, it probably wouldn't be too fun to go trick or treating here!

Cameron and Leah on Nana and Poppa's porch.  We brought our pumpkins over to their house too so that someone other than just our family could enjoy them.  It turned out to be a good move because Nana and Poppa's pumpkin was eaten by a squirrel so they didn't have one!

Cameron got his picture taken with Cookie Monster; Leah didn't want ANYTHING to do with him.  She would barely even wave to Cookie, she was too scared.

The kids got tired about half way around the block and were ready to go back.  They had enough candy so we had no problem with heading back.

Our last house of the night is always Nana and Poppa's.  The kids think it is hilarious that Poppa pretends not to know who they are when he opens the door.
