I can't believe how fast the time has flown by, Cameron turned five this year! I think I told him that about 50 times, that I couldn't believe my tiny baby boy was five years old today. He thought it was funny - silly sentimental Mama.
Here is the annual birthday picture with my birthday boy.
Daddy with the birthday boy
Cameron's 5th birthday was on a Friday this year, so we had his birthday party the next day. This year Cameron asked for a hockey cake for his birthday. This is what I came up with - pretty easy and I think it looks great!
In the morning we had Cameron come down and keep his eyes closed then we showed him his cake. He thought it was pretty awesome.
The party started at noon so we had lunch for everyone.
The spread - yummy, yummy

Digging into a big present
Birthday party attendees. People who were there were Nana and Poppa, Uncle Matt and Aunt Gina, Omi and Opa, Amanda and Joey, Aunt Susi and Ed, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa, Uncle Chris and Joe, the Lange family and Bonnie and Braden. A great turnout for Cam's party!
One of Cameron's presents from Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa was what looked like a Pringles chip container, but was actually filled with two snakes that jumped out. He and all of the other kids at the party thought it was HILARIOUS. That silly can of snakes got opened about 40 times that day.
Playing pirates during a lull in present opening
Leah being the helper for a while, bringing gifts to Cameron
Cam was pretty excited to get a sweet Nerf gun from Mama and Daddy. His other big present from us, which I don't have a picture of him opening, was a full size goalie net. He was also very excited about that and loves playing hockey in the basement with it.
Thank you hugs all around - here is one for Opa
And one for Great-Grandpa
Amanda and Joe being silly on the couch with Uncle Tim
Cameron tried to trick Uncle Matt into opening up the snake can, but instead Uncle Matt popped it towards Cameron.
Amanda, ready to pop the snakes at Tim
Bridgette trying to carry Leah. Jeff looks a bit concerned but Leah is having a blast!
Kiss for the birthday boy! Another birthday tradition - Cam always gets a kiss from one of the Lange girls on his birthday!!
Blowing out candles
Bite of yummy cookies!
More fun with the can of snakes. That thing is hilarious every single time.
Cameron enjoying his cake. We also had yummy cookies from Gina and Omi.
A slightly disheveled Leah digging in.
To wrap up the party, Cameron played with Braden and Joe.
It was a great party, Cameron had lots of fun and we always enjoy having everyone over at our house. Happy Birthday to my favorite first baby bear!!
