Picking Pumpkins

We only had one weekend in Syracuse between when we got home from Europe and Halloween, so we didn't have much time to go get pumpkins.  Our weekend was pretty busy already with hockey practice and cleaning up from Europe, so we decided to just go to Hafner's to get our pumpkins rather than to a pumpkin farm.  Despite not going out into a field to get pumpkins, we still had lots of fun because they had so much to do there.

Starring Cameron and Leah as Dora and Diego

A cool straw maze (if you are shorter than three hay bales tall)

Cam is almost too tall for the maze, but since all you can see is Leah's pigtail sticking up, she probably has a few more years in it.

They found their way out!

Leah as Cinderella

Cam and Leah as dinosaurs

And Cameron as the tall dinosaur

Cameron as a spooky witch

There was a petting zoo with goats and a llama.  The kids weren't too into petting the animals and were a little nervous by the llama, who was quite tall.  They did pet the goats a little bit.

Leah preferred watching the goats antics to actually touching them (which is funny because she is usually the one who is more bold about petting animals).

There was a small putt-putt course that we played on.  Here is Tim teaching Leah how to putt.

Cam hits his ball in

Leah has pretty sweet form

There was a small snack stand so we let the kids each pick a treat.  Of course, they each picked a delicious white powdered donut, the messiest treat of all!

Yum, yum, yum!

After we did all of the fun stuff, we went to pick out pumpkins.  The kids each chose one quickly and were more interested in all of the funny hanging decorations that moved or made noise when walked past them.

Not quite a pumpkin patch, but we had fun nonetheless!
