Enchanted Beaver Lake

One of our favorite pre-Halloween festivities is going to Enchanted Beaver Lake.  This year it was Mama, Cam, Leah, Nana and Poppa.  There was a magic show that we watched for a little bit, face painting, and of course the trails with lots of amazingly carved pumpkins.

Leah dressed as Snow White.  Here she is watching the magic show with Poppa.

Cameron as Spiderman, getting his face painted.

Of course, Spiderman got a spider

And now, on to the pumpkin pictures!  A cool cat.

Ernie!  There were a bunch of Sesame Street pumpkins, Leah loved them all.

This was a giant pumpkin, carved in 3D.  Not the best picture of it, but wow, it was awesome.

Tiger

Ahhh, palm tree on the beach

And Snow White.  We tried to get Leah to take a picture with this pumpkin, but by this point she was an exhausted mess and didn't want anything to do with it.

The trails seemed so much more crowded this year, especially the second trail we went to. We inched along, sometimes just standing there waiting for the line to move.  Not an enjoyable way to see the pumpkins, especially with a tired girl and a whiny boy who wanted to be carried.  Lesson learned for next year - we'll do the trails right away and the other stuff afterwards!  Still a great time though.
