Cam's backpack and New House stuff
Today Cam brought his swim stuff into school in a backpack. He wanted to bring the backpack home with him, and wore it for quite a while. Don't mind the messy face. :-P
Umm Dada, no more pictures!
House pictures from tonight. Most of the stuff that was done in the past few days is details stuff that doesn't really show up so well in pictures. The picture below shows that the double garage has been fixed (raised to 8 feet, as it should have been). The single garage still needs to be fixed. You can also see that the master bedroom (above single garage) has been divided up into the individual windows.
Our master closet has been framed in. Tim is standing in the section of the room that will be kept an attic at first.

Random Cute Pictures
Cam in his rocking chair. He loves to sit in it and read books, eat snacks or play with toys.

Now he is measuring something on his own.
After a long day, Cam conked out in his crib. Can you spot three Pooh bears in this picture? He usually has just two (his Baby Pooh, and one that used to be Mama's) but we did buy an identical twin to his Baby Pooh in case something happened to the first one. The other day, he found the hiding spot of the identical twin and triumphantly danced over to Tim with it. He went and put it into his crib right away, so it could be with its brothers. So now there are three Poohs in his crib.

Cam Cutes: Random Stories
Cam has been doing a lot of cute things lately, and I want to write them down. So here are some cute stories, starring Cam!

The other day, the car Cam was playing with rolled under the armoire in the family room. He laid down on the ground and tried to reach under. His arm wasn't long enough, so he got up and wandered away to the toy box. I figured that he had lost interest and was looking for something else to play with. Turns out, he was getting a hockey stick out of the toy box. He brought the hockey stick back over to the armoire, shimmied back onto his belly and used the hockey stick to pull the car out from underneath. I was quite impressed with his inginuity!

The company clambake was last weekend and Cameron and I went, along with Mom and Dad. Tim was out of town in Atlantic City with Matt. Cameron ate really well, even trying a clam. He didn't actually like the clam, but he loved the delivery mechanism (the clam shell). He ended up eating a chicken nugget, broken into pieces, from the clam shell. He also ate a couple veggies out of the clam shell. I tried to slip the clam in a few times, but every time he recognized it and reprimanded me with a stern "No Mama!"

Also at the clambake, they had peel and eat shrimp. Cam ate a couple, and then requested a bowl full for himself. I figured he would eat a few and be done. Of course not... he pounded the majority of them, and then left the rest for later. We knew they were for later because he would scream if anyone tried to take them away! Sure enough, when we were eating dessert later, Cam decided to eat his shrimp. Bite of cookie, bite of shrimp, bite of cookie. Yum, yum, what a combo! Once he was done with the cookie, he started eating the shrimp again. He spotted my ice cream, dipped the shrimp in it, and a new delicacy was found. Ice cream coated shrimp - can't beat that!

One morning, Cam was blowing raspberries on my stomach. He was laughing and blowing raspberries again and again, then all of a sudden stopped. He looked up at me and said very seriously, "Mama toot. Mama poo-poo on potty."

This story is second hand (from one of Cam's teachers), but is too funny not to share. The other day in day care, Cameron was playing with puzzles and another one of the kids came over to him and bit him on the arm. Apparently, Cam looked over at her and yelled "NO BITING!!" so loud that it startled the little girl and she started crying too. Cam's teachers tell us that he is always saying "No Biting!" to the other kids.

New House: Second floor and roof!
In the past couple days, the interior of the second floor has been framed completely, the roof has gone up, and the decking has all been put on the roof. The room over the garage was also started. Things seem like they are moving pretty quickly.
We have to pick out our roof, siding and stone colors soon. It is really hard! Especially trying to figure out what the colors will look like on an entire house or roof, when all you get is a tiny one inch sample of the color! We are hoping to go tomorrow to another neighborhood that has the same kind of siding that we are getting, so that we can see how the colors look on entire houses. That should be a big help.

New House: Lots is done!
Well it has been a while since I have posted house pictures and A LOT has been completed since then. The second floor is up and walls have been framed upstairs as well. Today the roof trusses were put up, but we don't have pictures of it yet. Here are pictures from the last few days.

New House: First floor framing
Lots more has been done on the house in the last few days. The framing crew even worked this past weekend, to make up for rainy days we had last week. The house is looking great, we are starting to be able to see where rooms will be and walk around in the house. Very cool!!
