Matt and Gina's Wedding Rehearsal

Hooray, Matt and Gina are married!  We don't have any good pictures from the wedding (we are waiting for the pictures from their fabulous photographers), but here are some good ones from the rehearsal.

Leah and Cameron practicing their very important walk down the aisle

They also wanted to practice walking up the stairs, even though they weren't actually going to do that.

Matt and Gina with one of their officiants

We told Cameron that he should run around all the paths and he actually did it.  He ran and ran and ran.

Matt and Gina at the top of the Thornden Park Lily Pond waterfall, where they were supposed to be married (damn you, rain!)

A beautiful setting, if only it didn't rain

Leah shows off the white tiger tattoo on her belly.  She is one classy flower girl, we know!  At least we were smart enough not to let her put the tattoo on any limbs that would be visible during the wedding!

 Cuteness overload!

Gina with her parents

Leah grabbed one of Gina's practice bouquets from her

The groomsmen (and others): Matt, Cameron, Paul, Ozzie, Ricky, Gary and Brian

And the girls: Alison, Heather, me, Sarah and Gina

 Cutie!

She doesn't appear to be bothered by the fact that the bow is now on her head.

After the rehearsal was done, the boys headed off to get their tuxedos and the girls went to get their nails done.  We all reconvened later that night for the rehearsal dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse.

If only this picture wasn't so dark, you could tell that Uncle Paul is a goofball and Leah is trying to figure out what the heck he is doing

Silly girl!

Sleepy baby girl

Cameron loves his gift too!

We had lots of fun with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner!  We will put a few pictures up from the wedding itself, but we are waiting for the really good ones from the photographer.  No matter what though, congrats to Matt and Gina - we love you!!!!

Cam and Leah in the rain

What do you do on the morning of Uncle Matt and Aunt Gina's wedding?  Well, if it is raining, like it was, you play in the rain!  Especially when you got an awesome lady bug umbrella as your flower girl gift at the rehearsal dinner the night before.

Yep, as the rain dripped down on the morning of Matt and Gina's wedding, the kids asked if they could get their rain boots on and go and stop around in the puddles.  It sounded like a good plan to us!

Another cutie!

She LOVES this umbrella

Come on Leah, let's jump!

Stomp, stomp, stomp

They had a blast!  A fun way to spend the morning of the wedding.  :)

Cameron's Music Lesson

Cameron has been taking music lessons for a few months now.  His music teacher, Mr. Cole, recently asked us to take some pictures at a lesson, for use on his website.  Here are some of the pictures we took of Cam!

First up was practicing notes on the piano

Mr. Cole would show Cameron a note on the staff, then Cameron would play it

Cam's favorite chord: Do-Mi-Sol.  Mr. Cole has written Cameron several songs centered around this chord because of how much he loves it!

Next they did some rhythm practice - Cameron laid out cards and then played the measures on the drum.

Now back to the piano to show Mr. Cole his song for the week

And then, Cam's favorite part - drums!  If he does well in his lesson, Mr. Cole lets him play the drums for a while.

Mr. Cole helps him practice rhythms on the drums

Then lets him go to town and just play!

Cameron has really been enjoying his music lessons and gets better every week.  As an added bonus, Tim and I are learning a lot too!

Kristin's Trip to Seattle

In July I went to Seattle for a week for work.  Most days were spent working from early morning until dinner time, but we did have one day off to have some fun.  My co-worker and I decided to drive to Mount Rainer to check it out.  Lucky for us, the day was clear and the view of the mountain was beautiful!

Glacier waterfall - the mist spray coming off it was FREEZING!

One of the nights we went to dinner in Bremerton, where there is a submarine museum.  Here is Trevor and I in front of the sail of the USS Parche, one of the most decorated subs in US Navy history.

Canada Day at the Cottage

We spent Canada Day weekend at the cottage.  The weather was very warm, but luckily there was enough of a breeze at night that we could sleep.  We were up there, Mom and Dad, Matt and Gina, Grandma and Grandpa, and Uncle Jim, Aunt Jill, Maddy and Kelly.

Daddy and Cameron ready to head out on a boat ride

Leah wanted to go too.

Poppa gets the boat started.  They were not out for very long before Leah decided she didn't like it, so they turned back around to drop her off.

Leah being silly - she was playing Peek-a-Boo

Cousins on the dock - Kelly, Cameron, Maddy and Leah

More cousins!  What cuties, they were fishing together so nicely.

Leah doesn't even need a hair tie to keep her hair back!  Or maybe this is the wind blown look?

Leah had a blast playing in this house.  She opened and closed all of the windows over and over again, peeking her head out each one and yelling "Peek-a-boo!" at us.

Kelly and Maddy took Cameron on a turtle and frog hunting expedition.  It turned out that the paddle boat doesn't operate so well in the swampy area that the turtles and frogs like!

To return the favor, Cameron rowed all of the ladies around the lake!  It was adorable, he did so great, rowing them all around the bay.  We were very impressed with our boy.

He rowed like a champ!

Leah is such a silly monkey!

The girls got tired of riding in the boat, so Cameron convinced Poppa to take a ride with him.  I seem to remember a certain brother of mine who loved rowing around and around and around the lake... looks like his nephew is taking after him!

Nana and Leah fishing on the dock.  Leah has a fishing pole with a bobber on the end.  She didn't mind that she wasn't getting any bites.

Leah LOVED this owl

Hello, friend!  (I think it is so cute, how she is sitting in this picture.)

LOVE this picture!!!

Early one morning, Great-Grandma let the kiddos play play-doh.

Leah, looking a little shocked. I don't know why.  :P

Nana and Poppa

On our drive back, we stopped at a winery just over the second Thousand Island Bridge.  They had a bunch of these funny statues and Cameron wanted his picture taken with each one.

Arrrrrr - pirate!
