In early June, Cameron's daycare had their graduation ceremony for the kids who were graduating from the Four Year Old room and going on to kindergarten. They have it so early in the summer because a lot of kids leave daycare and stay home for the summer. Cameron was a bit confused about all of that because he is staying at school for the rest of the summer, before heading off to kindergarten in the fall.
The theme of their graduation was Super Friends. The kids in the class (11 boys, 3 girls) loved playing super heroes all year long, so the teachers thought that would be a good theme. It was adorable. Here is the gym, decorated for graduation.
One silly girl!
Cameron did the introduction to the graduation. He said "Hello and welcome to our graduation. Remember that anything can happen; we're just kids." He was so serious and said it so perfectly. It was adorable and we were so proud!
After saying his part, he walked to his place. It was obvious that they had told the kids an exact line to walk, and Cameron was precise. He walked heel-to-toe all the way around to his spot. It was so cute!
Next was the Pledge of Allegiance. A couple of Cam's friends lead that and held the flags.
The kids lined up, ready to sing their graduation songs.
Their songs were "You've Got a Friend" From Toy Story and another song called "I Want to Be a Superhero". Cam practiced them for weeks beforehand, so by graduation we all could sing them!
Leah was enthralled by the entire graduation. She watched so closely.
After the songs were done, the kids filed out and got their graduation caps, then marched back in. Cameron was so serious the entire time!

After graduation there was cake and juice. Leah LOVED the cake!

Their favorite part of the graduation (besides the cake) was getting a balloon at the end!
Happy graduation to my big boy. I cannot believe that he is going to kindergarten next year. Where did the past four years go??
