Mickey waffles!
Oh no, Mickey can't hear anymore!
Epcot was empty because only people on tours or who were going to breakfast reservations could come in. It was very cool to see it without anyone around.
Tim and I
In front of the Christmas topiary - there was a gardener replanting some of the poinsettias and she was the one who took this picture.
No one here!

The Segway tour was really fun. The first part was learning to use a Segway, figuring out how to stand on it, how to make it go forward and back, and doing a bunch of obstacles. Then we went out into Epcot and went into the World Showcase. We did a bunch of obstacles going around the various countries, with our tour guide stopping to tell us about a few things at each place. Here we are at our official picture taking stop.
The guide told us to turn sideways and pretend we were moving forward for this picture.
Here is a video of Tim on the Segway
After we were done on the Segway tour, we met Nana and Poppa and the kids. Here is a picture that Nana took as we were heading back.
The first ride we decided to go on was Journey into Imagination. Both kids liked it, and they really liked the play area after the ride. Here is Leah dancing to some music.
After
that we rode on Soarin. It was wonderful, of course. Cameron really
liked it and rode on it twice in a row. Poor Leah was too small to go
on it, so she had to hang out waiting for everyone to take their turn
going on it. What did Leah do while she waited, you ask?
She went for horsey rides...
...and ate snacks!
It was almost time for our lunch reservation, so we headed back towards Germany. The lunch buffet was so good, the food was delicious. They had a band that played some songs, played the Alpine horns, and told a Christmas story.
I love bratwurst and spaetzle!
Leah LOVED the music - we stayed long enough so that she could watch the band show twice, she loved it so much.
Hooray for beer!
The whole group
We walked around the countries and checked some stuff out. When Cameron was starting to get cranky, we headed to American Adventure. Luckily, as soon as the lights went down, it turned into American Napventure for him!
That night we had tickets for the Candlelight Processional. It was a nice show, although I think I would have enjoyed it more without the kids there (who got bored after a while) and without the colorful people who sat around us in the audience and were total distractions.
The narrator was Geena Davis, which was pretty neat, someone we actually knew.
And... those are all the pictures we have from our first day at Epcot. Pretty crazy, there were not many at all. It was a fun day, but apparently we didn't think to pull out the camera more often. We went back to Epcot the next day though and got lots of pictures.
