Last night after dinner, we went on our annual trek over to St. Armand's Circle to get ice cream at Kilwin's. It was quite a chilly night, but we had to go anyway. The ice cream is that good!! We walked around the circle a bit to work up our appetite. Cameron wanted to walk holding Omi and Opa's hands... well, actually their pinkies. That is his new way of holding hands - he wants to hold your pinky, and your pinky only!

They were making caramel corn when we got to Kilwin's, so Cam tried some of that. He liked it quite a bit.
So much, in fact, that he suckered Opa into giving Cam the rest of his sample!

We also got ice cream. Cameron got his own kiddie cup of ice cream, but he much preferred to lick from everyone else's cone!

The weather today wasn't great - it was overcast and only in the low 60s. This morning it was drizzling, so we went over to Sarasota Mall where they have a kids play area. Cameron had a really great time playing on all of the stuff. It was funny though because he was really shy around the other kids. Being in day care, we figured he would be used to playing with all of the other kids there, but it took him a while to warm up and feel comfortable running around with everyone.

He LOVED sitting on this turtle.

After the mall, we went looking for a geocache in a park near the condo. We knew it would be an easy one because Tim and I figured out where it was when we were about 500 feet away. So we let Cam look for it, and with some direction, he headed toward this banyan tree.

Cam saw it very quickly and climbed right into the tree to get his treasure.

He was SO proud of himself for finding it. He kept yelling, "I find treasure!!!" He was extra excited when we opened it up and there was a toy car inside.

After the geocache it was lunch time and then nap time. When Cam woke up from his nap, we went down to the beach to play. We ended up spending about two and a half hours on the beach, playing in the sand, and I think Cam could have stayed there for twice as long. He just loves, loves, loves the sand.
A family picture. We got Cameron to look at the camera by telling him there was a birdie on the camera.

We wanted to recreate Cameron's flying picture from last year. This year, Cam was not quite as excited about it as last year!

Back to what is important, playing in the sand! Cameron and Daddy dug a tunnel hole, and Cam spent a lot of time standing in it and pouring water into the hole.

While we were down on the beach, Tim called his Dad. We told him that we would post a picture of Tim talking to him.

Cameron, probably asking Daddy to fill his bucket up with water again.

As we were sitting down by the beach tonight, we saw a ton of dolphins swimming in the gulf. It was really neat to see them. They swam up and down the beach, surfacing every once in a while. We didn't get any pictures of them because they would only pop up quickly and at random spots. It was very cool though!
When Tim was down by the water trying to get a picture of the dolphins, he took this nice one of a bird watching the sunset.

Love the family shot. It sounds like you guys are having such a nice relaxing vacation, low key days filled with family fun. Cam is a lucky boy.
Love all the great photos! Although you're right, Kristin, you have such a photogenic subject, it's easy. Congratulations to Cam on finding the geocache - those are always fun. Glad to hear you're having a great time in Florida and thanks for all the photos.
Yeah geocaching fun!!!! Your family pic looks great :)
Thanks for the phonecall about seeing the dolphins! Too bad Cam didn't want to talk. Oh well. That's awesome that you saw them from the beach! Glad everyone had a good time.
