The Borsts come to visit

Back in August, Kim, Jeff and the kids came up for their annual trip to go to the State Fair. We had a really great weekend. The Fair was fun, as always, and we also went to one of Cam's favorite playgrounds. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

We got there around lunch time. Cam enjoyed Auntie Kim's french fries.
Ella was a news broadcaster
Cam milked a cow
Jack got to feed a calf
While Cam was napping we got ice cream. As you can see below, he woke up while we were eating it.
In fact, one ice cream was not enough for him!
Jack also really liked his ice cream
The next morning we went to one of Cam's favorite playground at Morgan Road Elementary School. There are lots of great slides and other toys.

This is how Jack went down the big twisty slide
Ella having fun!
Cam and Daddy on the teeter totter
Cam walking on the balance beam
Why does the balance beam go down so much when Jeff walks on it?
Ella climbing the rock wall. Once she figured one out, she was scrambling up every one of them.
This was the one picture with all of them on the slide at the same time.
Wheeeeeeee!!!!

Our first Red Sox game

For Tim's 30th birthday, I got him tickets to a Red Sox game. Tim had never been to a game at Fenway, despite being a life long fan. So all three of us got to experience our first Red Sox game together. Actually, our first and second games! The first game on Friday, September 11th, got half way through the first inning and a rain delay was called. We got to explore all around Fenway while we waited for the rain to let up. We ended up leaving before the game was officially called, but it was canceled not long after we left. The game was rescheduled for noon on Sunday, so we were able to go back and watch most of it. We stayed until the end of the seventh inning stretch and then headed home. It was a great game, the Red Sox ended up winning.

The view from our seats. We were in Grandstand 27 along the third base line.
Cam working on his first Fenway Frank.
Cam got his own seat and was very intent on the game.
During the rain we walked all around Fenway, including looking at the Wall of Fame.
Cam and Daddy down near the field.
Looking across the field at section 27, where our seats were.

Back at the park on Sunday, Cam loved clapping for the Red Sox

Buchholz was pitching
There was so much to look at
Cam LOVED the game, he had so much fun clapping and cheering for the Red Sox. I was trying to figure out how to spell the way that he says "Go Red Sox", but instead thought it would be easier just to take a video. So below, here is Cam saying "Go Red Sox!"

Cam Cutes: Two stories

I have had to go into work quite early the last few days, so I leave before Cam wakes up for the day. Tim told me this has been the scene every morning:

Cam (just waking up): Mama, mama, out. Mama, out.
Tim goes into the room to get Cam.
Cam (spotting Tim): No Dada! Mama me out.
Tim: Cam, Mama already left for work.
Cam considers this.
Cam: Dada go. Me stay.
Cam lays back down in his crib. Tim leaves and goes back to our bed.

A few minutes later...
Cam: Dada, Dada, out!! Dada, out!
Tim goes into Cam's room, gets him out of the crib and they start their day.

At the cottage, Tim and Cam are out on the dock fishing. Tim gets tired of fishing, so he whispers something to Cam.

Cam: Mama, fish! Mama, come, fish!
Mama: But Cam, fishing is more of a Dada activity.
Cam: Please Mama, TRY!

And of course, Mama quickly made her way out to the dock to fish with Cam!!

Cam cute - Video Edition

While we were making another video on Sunday (for a post that should be up tomorrow), we found this one. I took it back at the end of July, meant to post it up here and never did. It is just Cam being super cute and showing off some tricks. It is hilarious to see what he couldn't do that well just a month and a half ago, he is mastering now (namely jumping). Anyway, it is just a cute video. Enjoy!

Trip to the Poconos

A few weekends ago we went to the Poconos for the weekend. Lots of Tim's friends from college, and their families, were there too. We stayed at a great house in a resort neighborhood. We were only able to stay for one night because of timing and lack of vacation hours, but it was great to see everyone.

Ewan and Cameron sharing a seat to watch the pool game
They also ate breakfast together in the big boy chairs
A pile of guys: Tim, Cam, Chris and Ewan
Cam and Tim check out the stream behind the house
Leanne and sweet little Phoebe
Cameron is STRONG!
Wesley: Baby of the Woods
Two buds taking a walk
This was the best photo we got in a series of at least a hundred. Trying to get the four kids to all look in the semi-same direction is tough! Ewan (18 months), Phoebe (2 months), Wesley (1 month and Cam (21 months).
A kiss for Baby Wesley!
And another one for Baby Phoebe! Getting them to kiss the babies at the same time was impossible.
Sweet little Wesley
To quote Megan: "You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but don't pick your friend's nose." Luckily the boys follow this advice.

House Update

It has been quite a while since we have posted house pictures and quite a lot has been done since the last time. Here are some updated pictures.

Back of the house, complete with siding
Garage doors are in!
Insulation is in everywhere... most pictures of it aren't very good but you can see it pretty well in this one.
Front of the house, complete with siding. The bottom area with no siding will have stone.
Side and front of the house covered with siding.
