We decided to start out Sunday morning playing on the beach. We all had a blast! The sand is so soft and silky, and since it is pale white it doesn't get hot. I think the kids could have played in the sand all day every day - it was always a tough decision between that and the pool!
Leah doing some digging
Tim trying to be artsy - you can see both Tim and Leah in the reflection of my sunglasses. Too bad the sunglasses are so streaked up!
Very happy sandy kiddos
Cameron quickly commandeered the "good" shovel and went to town filling things up
I love Leah in her hat, she is so darn cute!
My pretty baby
I love this shot, beautiful sky and beautiful baby!
Kiddos playing together :)
Cameron decided he needed some water and headed out for the ocean
Leah followed but didn't really go too far without Mama being close behind
Leah decided she did NOT want her hat anymore, so she chucked it aside and continued on her way to the ocean
Mama retrieved the hat and put it back on Leah's head without incident. Silly girl!
Playing by the ocean, collecting shells
Mama and sweet snuggly Leah - she is actually snuggling with me because the ocean DARED to touch her feet and she went nutso because it was cold. So I scooped her up and she snuggled in, wanting me to save her from the freezing cold ocean.
Cameron carrying his bucket of water back
Wow, I have a bunch of pictures of Leah. She is so darn cute, I can't help it.
Daddy decided to play with the kids
Leah helps Daddy dig a hole
Working hard to make the hole deep
Kids get in to test out the depth of the hole
Daddy decided it is not deep enough so he kept digging. Cameron didn't want to help out so he started his own hole.
Next depth check - kiddos think it is deep enough
Cameron buried in the hole!
Trying to dig himself out
Turned out that he needed a little bit of help from Daddy to get his legs free
Free!!!!
Daddy decided to make the hole even deeper. He has his arms stretched all the way out in the hole.
Cameron gets in
It is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!
So deep that we could bury Cam right up to his neck
First he got his hands free, then he asked Daddy for help freeing the rest of himself
One...two.....
Three!!!
Leah has had enough of this digging in the sand business
Back down to the ocean to look for shells
And for Daddy to go in the ocean for his annual January (freezing-cold!) swim
He's in!
Trying to convince Cameron that the water isn't too cold, and that he should swim with Tim
Opa and Leah
This is about as far as Cameron made it into the ocean
Playing in the water
Our attempt at a family picture, taken by some people who were walking by and commented on what a beautiful family we had and asked to take our picture. Cameron was not in the mood to cooperate, so we only got his back!
After the beach we headed up to the pool... those pictures coming soon!
